No-shows are charged in full. Full details: Policies, Terms & Conditions.
Email info@snowcatcabins.com or call (406) 558-4534. We'll confirm by email once it's done. What's possible depends on your rate — see the question above.
The total you see when you book includes the nightly rate, cleaning fee, and state and local taxes. Bringing a dog adds a pet fee of $20 per dog, per night (two dogs max), which you can add at checkout. Taxes and fees are non-refundable.
We do. Trips to the mountains can be unpredictable, and insurance can reimburse your trip if illness, weather, travel delays or other surprises change your plans. Spot Trip Insurance is an easy option when booking with us directly.
Yes. The person booking must be 21 or older and stay for the whole reservation. We'll ask for a valid photo ID matching the reservation name, and bookings made on someone else's behalf aren't permitted — ask us if you have a special situation.
Each cabin and room has a firm maximum occupancy, and day guests need our OK first. Events and parties (weddings, reunions, photoshoots and the like) aren't allowed. Traveling with a bigger group? We're happy to book several units together — just search with your full party and we'll suggest combinations.
Arrival & check-in
Check in any time after 3 PM; check out by 10 AM.
Our cleaning schedule rarely allows early check-in or late check-out, but ask and we'll do our best. If you're in town early, we'll send you some favorite spots and let you know the moment your place is ready.
Our grounds get very dark, so we recommend arriving before nightfall. Arriving after midnight? Let us know and we'll make sure you can find your cabin.
Check-in is contactless. Your check-in details and personal door code arrive by email before you arrive, so you can head straight to your cabin after 3 PM — no front desk needed. Need a hand? Call or text (406) 558-4534.
Space for trailers and long vehicles is limited. Let us know before you book if you're towing or driving something large, and we'll do our best to fit you in.
During your stay
In true Montana fashion, an active rail line runs near the property, along Coram Stage Road. Trains sound their horn at the crossing, which can wake light sleepers — some guests love it, some don't.
Every cabin has a white-noise machine, a fan and earplugs, but bring your own if you're noise-sensitive.
Wi-Fi: we have it, but we're in a small mountain town and it can be spotty. We wouldn't count on it for important video calls — ask us for nearby coworking spots.
Cell: you'll have service at the cabins, but it gets patchy nearby. Save your check-in details and directions before you go. Heading into Glacier? Download maps, permits and plans in advance — there's very little service in the park.
Mountain Lion Den, Bobcat Cabin and Fisher Cat Cabin each have a private hot tub. Please read and share our hot tub policy with your group.
Yes, in our dog-friendly cabins — up to two dogs at $20 per dog, per night. Choose "Bringing a dog?" when you search to see them, add the pet fee at checkout, and read our pet policy. Service animals are always welcome.
This is bear country — black bears and grizzlies both live in northwest Montana. Please help keep them wild:
- Put all trash in the bear-proof dumpster and latch it.
- Never leave food, coolers, trash or scented items outside or in your car.
- Bring dishes and grill tools inside to wash, and burn food off the grill before closing it.
- Lock your cabin and car at night.
The bear-proof dumpster is by our Coram Stage Road entrance, on the west edge of the property. Lift the handle, pull up on the lever underneath, and latch it again when you're done.
Coram has no recycling service — if you have clean paper or aluminum, let us know and we'll recycle it for you.
This area is extremely fire-prone, so please:
- Check local fire bans first (ask us if you're unsure).
- Never leave a fire or grill unattended, and turn grills off after use.
- Fully put out every fire.
- No fireworks.
- Get a permit for fires on surrounding public land.
- Quiet hours are 10 PM to 8 AM — sound travels in the mountains.
- All buildings are smoke-free, including porches and decks. Smoking indoors carries a cleaning fee of $300 or more.
- No fireworks, recreational firearms or weapons on site.
- No tent, car or RV camping on the grounds — we're not zoned as a campground.
- Please keep your door code private.
The full list is in our Policies, Terms & Conditions.
The area
About 6 miles — roughly 10 minutes to the West Glacier entrance and Apgar Village, and about 20 minutes to Lake McDonald. Check the park's current conditions for road status and any vehicle reservation requirements before you go.
